A bow that is capable of doing literally everything you expect for modern archery is desirable. A bow that is incredibly usable and forgiving is nothing but essential. The Bear Anarchy HC is a bow that combines excellent raw power, usability, smooth draw pattern and beautiful aesthetics alongside raw performance levels that you would expect from higher-end units. If you are looking for a bow that can literally do everything and improve your archery abilities considerably in the process, then this is the bow for you! A complete detailed list of features in this Bear Anarchy HC review below.
The Bear Anarchy HC is a single cam bow that has impressive smoothness and draw cycle. What is also impressive is the raw power and speed that this bow can achieve. Utilising some of the best technological specifications that Bear has to offer, the frame-rate per shot is impressive and makes the bow suitable for a wide variety of uses.
The draw length is 26.5” to 31.5” which makes it a bow more than suitable for a wide variety of age ranges, from young to old and is designed so it encourages good posture and proper technique from the outset. This draw length is also fully adjustable within these ranges, further increasing usability.
The generated frame speed for the bow is in the region of 330fps on IBO specifications. Whilst this is not the highest value you will find, for a bow that is single cam and more than usable in the field whilst hunting, this is a very impressive number to be achieved indeed.
THE RISER AND LIMBS
Measuring 35.25” axel to axel, making it some 3.5” longer than other comparable models works in the Bear Anarchy HC’s favour. It has a smooth look which looks great and aids greatly in the general appearance of the bow, making it look sleek and appealing.
The bow also has a long riser which creates much less reflex than other models. Whilst the limbs can move independently, aiding greatly in the firing abilities of the bow as it makes the torque much less forgiving. This results in a smooth and consistent shot every time.
The grip that comes installed on the unit is also excellent, making it ideal for a wide variety of palm sizes. This is mainly due to the reinforced rubber form that forms the majority of the bows grip, making it conform to most palms with ease. This helps with the steadiness factor of the bow and thus makes shooting even more accurate as it is stable and reassuring to the touch.
THE DRAW CYCLE
There is little stiffness and thus no torque when one goes through the draw cycle for this bow. It does possess a long valley when the bow is fully drawn, ranging from ¼ inch to ½ inch and there is some potential for creep within this cycle, but by and large it will not catch you off guard and thus does not affect performance considerably. A stabilizer is not required with this particular bow but if you wish for one to be installed it is not integrally an issue and one can of course be easily installed.
The dual string suppressors of the bow significantly reduce the vibrations throughout the draw cycle and there is a 4×4 roller system which greatly aids with the smoothness of the draw, further adding to the incredible usability of this particular bow.
THE SILENCING MEASURES
There are several features incorporated into the bow that aid this factor greatly. The string suppressors attached to this bow do their job incredibly well and aid greatly in the stealth factor, reducing vibrations and attaching to the bow riser, keeping them out of the way of the draw cycle.
The limb pockets for this bow are also fully independent and this aids the vibration factor greatly. Not only is the vibration factor against the palm good and low level, the bow is also incredibly quiet once fired.
- The bow generates impressive power levels and good KE levels at all levels of tuning
- This is one of the most powerful and accurate single cam systems on the market. Whilst a dual cam system would be even more user friendly, the single cam system is easier to maintain and in the majority of cases more reliable
- Aesthetically pleasing design
- Excellent grip
- Good levels of penetration, especially from 75 yards plus
- Whilst the single cam is impressive, dual cams would be more desirable
- The bow is expensive for a single cam unit
- The frame-rate is not the best available, although the level generated is impressive
The Bear Anarchy HC is an incredibly impressive recurve bow with excellent firing capabilities no matter which way you look at it. It comes with an excellent frame-rate for a single cam unit that generates KE levels one would associate with dual cam bows, whilst the draw cycle itself is incredibly smooth and only encourages good, proper posture whenever it is used. Whilst a slightly better framerate would be desirable considering the price of the unit, this is still an incredibly usable bow that will fulfil all of your archery needs and then some. I hope that you have found this Bear Anarchy HC review helpful!
